IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR MARYLAND CUSTOMERS

Please note that Washington Gas has resumed collection activities in the state of Maryland. We understand that some of our customers may be having difficulty paying their gas bill as a result of the financial hardships brought on by both the continuing effects of the pandemic as well as rising gas costs. Washington Gas will delay charging late fees until June 1, 2023 to provide customers with additional time to enroll in any of the available energy assistance and payment programs.

If you have fallen behind on your energy bills, you may be eligible for assistance through programs designed to help you manage your bill.

NEED HELP PAYING YOUR GAS BILL?

Washington Gas offers the Installment Plan to eligible customers who are having trouble with paying their gas bill. Installment Plans are interest-free and are available for up to 12-months, or 24-months for customers receiving energy assistance with no down payment required. It prevents further credit action on the account as long as the customer abides by the agreement.

ENERGY ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE FOR INCOME-ELIGIBLE CUSTOMERS

Federal and local government programs help residential customers pay their natural gas bills and awards are based on family size and income. There is still time to apply for assistance to avoid service interruptions.
